§ 01 — What we are

That's the
company.

DemanualAI is a small AI product studio in Chennai. We were registered as DemanualAI Pvt. Ltd. in October 2025, but we'd been doing the work for a few years before that under a different structure.

We build our own AI products (LegalPro, Dataviz). We take a small number of client contracts to fund the work. We're starting to curate Indian datasets the rest of the AI world is missing.

That's the company.

§ 02 — What we believe

Five positions,
not policies.

Most "AI" sold today is theatre. Decks, demos, OpenAI API calls dressed up as proprietary models. Real AI is in production, processing real data, breaking and being fixed at 2am. We try to only build the second kind.

The people who build the AI should be the people who pick up the phone when it breaks. No handoffs. No account managers as intermediaries. The engineer who ships is the engineer on call.

Small teams ship better products than big teams. Every time. Fewer handoffs, faster decisions, more accountability. We're not small because we haven't grown — we're small because it works.

Open-source-first is a trust position, not a cost play. You own what we build. No vendor lock-in. No proprietary black boxes. The stack is readable; the keys are yours at handover.

India has world-class AI engineers and almost no world-class Indian AI training data. That's a gap, and gaps are where companies get built. We want to help fix it — systematically, starting this year.

If any of that resonates, we'd probably get along.

§ 04 — The founder

Senior AI/DevOps/backend engineer. Four-plus years building production AI systems. I started at IFB R&D doing computer vision for industrial automation — quality control on production lines, defect detection at machine speed.

After that I went independent and worked across fintech, legal tech, and customer-experience AI. DemanualAI is the company I always wanted to work at, so I built it.

I'm the lead engineer on every project. I read every contract. I write the architecture. If we work together, you'll be working with me.

§ 05 — The team

A small group of senior engineers and contractors. We don't list everyone on the site because the team rotates with project demand and most of our work is under NDA. When you start working with us, you'll meet the specific people on your project.

§ 07 — Where we are · where we're going

We work with clients in India, Singapore, the US, and the UK. Time zones haven't been a problem in 18 months of client work.

Three years from now.

A global AI product company built from India. Three revenue lines: products that run in production, services for clients we choose carefully, and a growing library of Indian-context datasets we license to the rest of the AI world. The team is the asset. Everything else flows from that.
